Cast the Marrenta to the desirable spot, then, upon retrieve, the movement will be uniform. But you got to remember, the wounded fish is the easiest prey for the predator, that's why during the constant retrieve give it one or more consecutive jerks with the rod tip. Marrenta will erratically move, being a good time for the predator to strike.
